Get the perfect waves with Kevin Murphy

Just because beach weather is almost over, it doesn’t mean you can’t have the best waves in town. In honour of one of our longtime favourite brands, we’ve created a tutorial on getting those curls that will be turning heads.

Using only Kevin Murphy products, we’ve found a super easy way for you to achieve those Victoria’s Secret waves right in the comfort of your own home. Perfectly bouncy, effortless and full of volume - what more could you ask for? It's also super easy and pretty quick as well!

Step 1

Give your hair a good spritz with Kevin Murphy Un.Tangled.

This is a leave-in conditioner that has the benefit of being a heat protectant as well so you can count on it to keep your hair nice and smooth. It detangles, strengthens and restores hair thanks to its complex blend of nourishing fruit extracts. Spray it into wet or dry hair, give it a comb through to distribute the product and heat style away. Plus, it smells amazing!

Step 2

Separate your hair into vertical  sections. If your hair is thicker, divide it in half from ear to ear and clip away the top part.

Step 3

Place the Silver Bullet Keratin 230 Titanium Hair Straightener onto the first section at about eye level. Clamp the hair and rotate the straightener slightly. Slide the iron along the strand and continue to rotate the iron bit by bit. Remember to keep tension on the hair.

This straightener is the answer to all your straightening and curling with its titanium floating plates that will  easily glide through even the thickest and coarsest of hair.

Step 4

Repeat Step 3 around the other sections of hair. If you’ve clipped the top half of your hair, release it once you’ve finished curling the bottom half and repeat.

Step 5

Let your hair cool down completely. Then brush through it with a wide toothed comb or your fingers.

Step 6

Sprinkle Kevin Murphy Powder.Puff Volumising Powder onto the roots of your hair. Use a small comb to back comb the hair for instant volume.

This little miracle worker is an instant hit of volume but also provides a dry matte texture for the perfect piecy look in layered hair and curls. All you need is to give it a little rub to reactivate it during the day.

Step 7

Step 8
